So I will use this space to help me procrastinate further and tell you.
Why I Believe in a Higher Power!
Okay so I spent the last segment talking about why I don't believe in the bible, and god in the Christian sence. Because when I apply logic to what god actually does, I just think the idea of god in a Christian idea is a little silly. However, I think there is more than ample evidence that a higher power of some sort does exist.
1) The religions of the world seems to have a lot in common! Those who study religion would say that there is a difference in pre-axial and post-axial religions, but it's been a long time since I took that class so I can't really comment on that. However, all religions tend to want people to be excelent toward each other, for you to not fuck your sister, and to have a bit of restraint in fucking people in general (in the orgasim way, and the screwing them way). There must be something to that in my opinion.
2) The universe is a little to perfect! I believe in the big bang and evolution, because there is FAR to much evidence for both. However, in a universe where it seems much easier to destroy than create, there are weird areas of creation. Stars use fusion to create heavier elements, and thense those Stars explode and spread these atoms all over the universe, which in time created the planets. A puddle of goo somewhere has creates all the life on our planet randomly. I'm sorry, that is just plain crazy.
For these two reasons above is why I consider myself a deist. I think that there is some sort of creative power. Just who or what it is I have no idea. But in general it seems to want people to be good, and to have created a pretty bitchin universe. I also believe in the idea that God created a system in the universe and has largely left it alone. So the best way to know what God is, is to study the system it has created. I believe that for anybody to say they KNOW what god thinks and wants me to do is an idiot. If god wanted me to do anything, it would certainly have the power to tell me himself. God has chosen to NOT to speak to the masses, because the people of the Earth have all sorts of religions. I'm rambling cuz I'm tired, but that is what I think.
